Leyland 1
DescriptionFox Lane has a large flat playing area, specially created for the playing of cricket by club benefactor John Stanning, owner of the local bleach works, in the 1890's. Upon his death, he left the ground in trust to the members for the playing of cricket. Bar facilities are available in the adjacent Fox Lane Sports Club: www.foxlanesportsclub.co.uk
DirectionsLeave the M6 at junction 28 and turn left toward Leyland centre. Take the second left, Bent Lane and follow this to the junction with Church Road (at a roundabout). Take a right at this point, and follow Church Road past Balshaws High School. After around half a mile, the road swings round to the left at Leyland Cross. Take a right into Fox Lane, and the ground is 1/4 of a mile on your left after the row of terrace houses.
